How to enable master browser in win9x

If the Master Browser is disabled, you not be able to see any computers in your network. To enable Master Browser, go to Control Panel>Network>File and Printer Sharing>Properties>Advanced, select Enable.

Q  How to connect a w98 workstation into a w2k domain?.

To access a domain network, 1) install client for MS networks; 2) in the properties of Client for ms network, check Logon Windows NT Domain and type your domain name in windows NT domain. You also need the domain logon id to access the domain.

Go to HKLM/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/network/realmodenet, add or delete AutoLogon.

If you would like to disable the Multi-User Settings, go to Control Panel>Passwords>User Profiles, click All users of this PC use the same preferences and desktop, and then click OK.

How to remove all user profiles fro win98/ME

To remove all user profiles fro win98/ME and let all users of the Win98/ME computer see the same desktop and menus, use Registry Editor to remove the appropriate User name keys from the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

To remove all profiles, remove the ProfileList key. After you are done, go to My Computer or Windows Explorer to remove the appropriate Windows\Profiles\User name folders. To remove all profiles, remove the Windows\Profiles folder.
