You do a test by sending a mail by using telnet. The following are the step by step how to do it.

C:\blin>telnet

Microsoft Telnet>

Microsoft Telnet> set localecho

Microsoft Telnet> opem mail.chicagotech.net 25

Open Outlook in ms-mvpc.com, bob should receive the mail from blin.
