How to configure the primary DNS suffix The Primary DNS suffix specify the DNS suffix to be appended to the name of a computer when completing its fully qualified domain name (FQDN). If you don’t have correct primary DNS suffix, you may experience some name resolution issue. For example, you may have difficult to join a domain. In other case, you may not be able to use the FQDN.
