How to create an iSCSI Virtual Disk in Windows 2012 - Step by step with screenshots 

 

1. Open File and Storage from Server Manager.

2. Click on iSCSI and then To create an iSCSI virtual disk start the New iSCSI Virtual Disk Wizard.

3. In New iSCSI Virtual Wizard, select the server and disk.

 

4. Enter the iSCSI VD name.

 

5. Assign disk size.

 

6. Assign iSCSI target, New iSISC target since this is first time to create an iSCSI VD.

 

7. Enter target name.

 

8. Select a method to identify the initiator.

 

9. After adding IQN, click Next.

 

10. Enable Authentication.

 

11. Confirm the configuration and click Create.

 

12. After the creation, click Close.

 

13. Now, you should have the iSCSI VD show up.
