How to manage Hyper-V Replica in windows 2012 - Step by step with screenshots

This article will show you how to monitor, test and manage Hyper-V replica.

1. Open the Hyper-V Manager.

2. Click Replica Server which is WIN2012B in our example.

3. Click the replicated VM, Win7-PC2 in our example.

4. Click Replication on the bottom.

4. You can view the replication status.

5. you can view replication health, primary server and replica server.

6. If the VM on the primary server is down, you can click failover under replication to bring the replica VM online

7. To make sure the failover work and test it, click Test Failover under the replication.

It will create a test VM.
