How to Create or Modify Protection Group in Microsoft DPM - Step by step with screenshots

1. Run DPM 2010 Administrator Console.

2. Click Action and then select Create protection group or Modify protection group.

3. In Welcome page, click Next.

4. Select Protection Group Type.

5. In Select Group Members, choose the data to protect.

6. Enter the protection group name and choose protection method.

7. In Specify Short-Term Goals, select retention range, File recovery points, and Application recovery point.

8. In Review Disk Allocation, you have an option to modify it.

9. Choose Replica Creating Method.

10. Select Consistency check options.

11. Click Update Group in Summary.

12. It starting to create the group.
