How to install and configure GFI MailEssentials on a Windows SBS 2003

There are two methods to install MailEssentials for Exchange/SMTP, an anti spam filter for Exchange Server. The first method is to install GFI MailEssentials on the Windows server that is running the Microsoft Exchange Server 2000/2003/2007. Another Method is to install GFI MailEssentials on a separate machine. This article will show you the steps to install and configure GFI MailEssentials on a Windows SBS 2003 with Exchange.

 Installing GFI MailEssentials

  1. Logon the SBS using an administrator account.
  2. It is recommended to close all programs, such as Anti Virus software, before installing GFI MailEssentials.
  3. Run the GFI MailEssentials setup file from a CD or the location you downloaded it to.
  4. A welcome screen will appear. Click Next to continue.

5. In the next screen, make your choice and click Next to continue.
