How to re-configure Outlook 2007/2010 to access emails in Office 365  - Step by step with screenshots 

 

Assuming you have been using Outlook 2007 or 2010. Now, your company migrated your mailbox to Office 365. This article describe how to re-configure the Outlook 2007 or 2010 to access email in office 365.

 

1. Open Mail by typing Mail in the Start. Then click Mail or open Control Panel>All Control Item (note: if you don’t see the Mail icon, switch Category to Small icons on the top right), double click Mail.

2. In Mail Setup, click Show Profiles….

3. Highlight the mail profile, Outlook in this example and click Remove. Click Yes to remove the profile.



4. After removing the mail profile, click Add. Type the profile name in New Profile screen.
5. Click Next in Microsoft Outlook 2010 Startup.
6. Click Next in E-Mail Account.
7. Auto Account Setup should detect your email address if you login a domain computer. If your computer is not domain computer or home computer, you may need to enter your email address manually. Click Next to continue.

8. In Configuring, the Windows Security screen may popup, enter your email address and password. Click OK to continue.
9. After the email account is successfully configured, click Finish.
10. Outlook may take few minutes to download your emails. If the Help Protect and Improve Microsoft Office screen popup, check Use the Recommended Settings and click OK.
11. By default, the Signature is disabled. To enable it, click File>Options.
12. Click Mail and then Signatures.
13. Highlight the signature you want to use, click narrow down key in New message (perhaps Replies/forward too) and then select the signature file name. Click OK to save the settings.
