How to convert a non-mail-enabled Global Security Group to Mail-enabled Security group  - Step by step with screenshots

Situation: One of our Helpdesk tries to create a Mail-enabled Security Group. By mistake, she created a Non-mail-enabled Global Security Group in Active Directory. The correct way should be creating it under Exchange. To convert the Non-mail-enabled security group to mail-enabled security group, please follow these steps.

1. Open the properties of the group in ADUC.

2. In the General tab, check the Universal that will switch it from the Global scope. Enter the E-mail address.

3. Now, click OK to save the settings.
