How to re-join a domain without switching to workgroup first - Step by step with screenshots 

 

Situation: The client deleted one computer from the domain controller. He would like to re-add it to the domain without changing from domain to workgroup first.

 

Resolution: He can do it by selecting Network ID under system Properties>Computer name. Here are step by step.

 

1. Click Network ID.


2. Check This computer is part of a business network; I use it to connect to other computer at work.  

3. Check my computer uses a network with a domain.

4. Enter the user information and credentials.

5. Enter the computer name and domain name.

6. Enter credentials to join the domain.

7. You will have option to add user account to the domain.
