How to enable ping in Windows Firewall

By default, Windows Firewall disable ICMP. That blocks ping to the computer. To enable the ping, follow these steps:

1. Open Windows Firewall by going to Control Panel or the properties of the connection.

2. Select Advanced (Figure Windows Firewall Advanced)

3. Click Setting in the ICMP.

4. Check the Allow incoming echo request (Figure ICMP Settings).
