How to configure RADIUS users in SonicWall  - Step by step with screenshots 

 

In this article, we describe how to configure Active Directory users for establishing VPN.

 

1. After login SonicWall, navigate to Users>Settings.

2. In    Authentication method for login, make sure RADIUS + Local users selected, click Configure.


3. In Settings, enter Primary Server IP address, shared secret. keep the default port 1812 no changed.

4. Click RADIUS Users.

5. Check Use LDAP to retrieve user group information and click Configure. Note: the default user group to which all RADIUS users belong Trusted Users.

6. In Settings, enter the LDAP or RADISU server IP address, keep the default settings for port 636. Enter the admin account credentials. The protocol version is LDAP version 3. If you do have SSL for the RADIUS server, check Require valid certificate from server. Otherwise, uncheck it.

7. This is Schema default settigns.

8. In User Directory Information, enter Primary domain = mydomain.local, User tree for login server mydomain.local/users.  Click Add in Trees containing users, for example, mydomain.local/usernmae. Click Add in Trees containing user groups, for example mydomain.local/users.

9. In the Referrals, this is default settings.

10. In LDAP Users, the default is Trusted Users. You may want to import users or user group from LDAP.

11. In LDAP Relay, check WAN Zone and VAN Zone.

12. Click OK to save the settings.
