How to configure Remote Access on Windows 2012R2  - Step by step with screenshots 

1. Open Server Manager>Dashboard>Add roles and features.

2. Check remote Access.

3. In configure Remote Access, you have 3 options: Deploy both DirectAccess and VPN, Deploy DirectAccess only and Deploy VPN only.

4. In or example, we select Deploy both DirectAccess and VPN.

5. In Remote Access Server Setup, you have 3 options: Edge, Behind an edge device (with two network adapters), and Behind an edge (with a single network adapter).

6. We select Behind an edge device (with two network adapters) in our example. Then enter the public FQDN or IP address.

7.  Click Finish to complete the configuration.
